Frequently Asked Questions
Q:Are portable nebulizers any good?
A:Yes! In fact, the mesh neb atomizes the particles smaller than your typical jet nebulizer, meaning more of it gets to your lungs. Not to mention, people love how quiet it is to use and how fast their treatment is done.
Q:What conditions can I use a portable nebulizer machine for?
A:Our customers have used their Visual devices for COPD, asthma, croup, laryngitis, RSV, bronchitis, and more. Ask your doctor before using a new type of nebulizer.
Q:What medications are ok for a battery operated portable nebulizer?
A:Our neb can handle most common respiratory meds like albuterol or ipratropium. Highly viscous meds like Pulmozyme, tobramycin, Mucomyst, or Colistin are not recommended. Suspension medications like budesonide have larger particles that could potentially clog the mesh, so make sure to nebulize 3-6 ml of distilled water after every treatment. Use one medication at a time.
Q:Is your nebulizer FDA approved?
A:yes!
Q:Can the portable nebulizer replace what I use now?
A:Lots of customers have replaced their jet nebulizer (the one with a loud air compressor) with the Visual. We still recommend bringing a rescue inhaler as a backup when traveling.
